Joann K.

Joann received her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Madison Area Technical College, became certified in 1989 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1996. Joann firmly believes in the human-animal bond. She understands how important animals are to the health and wellness of a person and the entire family. JoAnn resides in the Wausau area with her husband, four children and two cats, Lily and Chip, and a rabbit named Bunny. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Sara P.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Sara has been practicing as a certified veterinary technician at Kronenwetter Veterinary Care since 2000. She received her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Madison College in 1999. Sara chose this profession to help animals get the best possible care. She and her husband Joe have two children, Ethan and Elijah, three cats and a dog. Mariah G.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Mariah grew up in a small rural town in Wisconsin, where she found her love of animals working on a nearby farm at a young age. She was lucky to have a house full of family pets that grew her dream of becoming a certified veterinary technician. She earned her associate degree from Globe University in December 2013. She completed her internship with Kronenwetter Veterinary Care and officially became part of the support staff in January 2014. She went on to pass her National Veterinary Technician exam in April 2014. Mariah and her husband, Mike, share their home with a few furry family members. Her passion for veterinary medicine drives her to try and learn something new every day.

Tara E.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Tara joined the KVC support staff in May of 2014.  She is originally from the Madison area, and has been in the Wausau area since the fall of 2013 when a job opportunity brought the family to Central Wisconsin. Tara and her boyfriend loaded up the house and the “fur babies” for the next chapter of their lives. It was obvious from an early age that Tara would be working with animals in some way, as there wasn’t an animal too small or a fence too high, if she can reach she will pet it. She would bring any animal home if you were not looking.  “But Mom, he/she needs me” was a well heard phrase around the house, and if Tara had her way, they would all be sleeping in her bed. Tara prides herself in treating each animal that walks in the door as if they were her own, she wants them to have the best possible experience.  Tara earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Edgewood College, and later went on to get an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Madison College. Tara’s hobbies include spoiling her dog, learning the fine art of crochet, and enjoying the outdoors and small town festivals.

Ashley D.

Certified Veterinary Technician, Inventory

Ashley graduated from Globe University and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2010. Her experience lies in both daytime and emergency vet practice. Fittingly, Ashley shares special interests in critical care vet cases and anesthesia practices. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys being outdoors and is in the process of starting a small hobby farm. Her home, which she shares with her family, is located on several acres. Fresh ingredients from the huge garden she maintains contribute to her cooking habit. Ashley’s family includes her significant other Ryan, daughter Rubi, and a cattle dog named Layla.

Megan G.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Megan has been a CVT/RVT since 2005 and first joined the KVC support staff in 2015. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine. She briefly left the practice to work in the human radiology technology field and returned to KVC in 2018. Megan has 4 furry kids of her own.

CHELSEA_web

Chelsea often jokes that she will die trying to pet something she shouldn’t. This almost rang true on a recent vacation to Australia, where she got too close to a crocodile.

Chelsea has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from St. Norbert College and as Associate’s Degree in Animal Science from Globe University. She loves to read and cooks a mean risotto.  She also enjoys backpacking and traveling with her husband Eric, walking her dog Scout and snuggling cats Francesca and Chance. Bev owns house and barn cats, a horse, and some beef cows. Her hobbies include walking, horseback riding, flower gardening, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and most any outdoor activity.

Wendy G

Wendy G.

Receptionist

Wendy joined KVC in June of 2021. She grew up in the Village of Plover and has resided in the Township of Knowlton for over 26 years. She has always had a love for animals and can’t remember a time in her life which she did not have an animal to care for. Growing up, her family had many dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, and mice. Horses and dogs have a special place in her heart, especially Siberian Huskies!

Wendy is married to an amazing husband of 30 years and counting, has two amazing grown children and two beautiful, spunky Siberian Huskies, Akira and Myshka. She loves to spend time with her family, enjoying family game and movie nights, to hike with her dogs, scenery cruise, practice photography, scrapbook, and read.
