Joann firmly believes in the human-animal bond. She understands how important animals are to the health and wellness of a person and the entire family. Sara chose this profession to help animals get the best possible care. She and her husband Joe have two children, Ethan and Elijah, two cats and a dog. When not at KVC, Sara spends her time as the CEO of her household and manages her boys’ very busy schedules. When time permits, she squeezes in reading and scrapbooking.

Mariah G.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Mariah grew up in the Colby, WI area where working on a dairy farm from a young age and having a houseful of family pets made becoming a certified veterinary technician her ultimate goal. She earned her associate degree from Globe University in Wausau, WI as a Student Ambassador of the veterinary technology program in December 2013. She completed her internship with Kronenwetter Veterinary Care and officially became part of the team in January 2014. She went on to pass her National Veterinary Technician exam in April 2014 and looks forward to continuing her education in this field. Mariah and her boyfriend currently share a home with their boxer, Levi, in rural Colby but look forward to expanding their family in the future. In her free time, Mariah enjoys music, movies, riding motorcycle and four-wheeler, and spending time with family and friends.

Tara E.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Tara joined the KVC team in May of 2014.  She is originally from the Madison area, and has been in the Wausau area since the fall of 2013 when a job opportunity brought the family to Central Wisconsin. Tara and her boyfriend loaded up the house and the “fur babies” for the next chapter of their lives. It was obvious from an early age that Tara would be working with animals in some way, as there wasn’t an animal too small or a fence too high, if she can reach she will pet it. She would bring any animal home if you were not looking.  “But Mom, he/she needs me” was a well heard phrase around the house, and if Tara had her way, they would all be sleeping in her bed. Tara prides herself in treating each animal that walks in the door as if they were her own, she wants them to have the best possible experience.  Tara earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Edgewood College, and later went on to get an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Madison College. Tara’s hobbies include spoiling her three dogs, learning the fine art of crochet, and enjoying the outdoors and small town festivals.
