Holistic Vet Care in Kronenwetter
Caring for your pet involves more than just vaccinations and routine procedures at Kronenwetter Veterinary Care. By looking at all aspects of your pet’s health, we work to treat your “whole” pet. Our holistic vet services for Kronenwetter and surrounding areas helps heal your pet from the inside out.
According to the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA), holistic theory is centered around the concept that a single illness can exhibit itself in many ways. Holistic care is simultaneously alternative and traditional because the practitioner uses a wide range of treatment options to provide the best care possible. At Kronenwetter, we’ll carefully assess your pet’s medical history, genealogy, diet, mannerisms, behavior and living environment to determine the best treatment option in either western or eastern medicine.
Providing Chinese Herbal Treatment Options
Chinese herbal therapy is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and its uses have been applied for thousands of years. At Kronenwetter, we’re fortunate to have the expertise of Dr. Lisa Radwan and Dr. Nikki Wills. Dr. Lisa and Dr. Nikki use Chinese herbs and acupuncture to supplement treatment plans. Additionally, Dr. Lisa is certified in veterinary chiropractic care. Chinese herbs are a beneficial and integral part of alternative medicine. While we use traditional medicine to treat sudden and minor illness and critical injuries, Chinese herbs may be effective in treating long-term problems like:
- Weakened immunity
- Irritable bowel disease
- Skin conditions, including allergies
- Chronic arthritis and pain
- Anxiety and fearful behavior
Providing a Wide Range of Treatment Options
Our holistic vet services are not just limited to Chinese herbs. After we thoroughly examine your pet to determine what may be the source of her illness or condition, we have many treatment options at our disposal. For example:
- If your pet has a musculoskeletal concern that is causing bone or joint pain, we may recommend a chiropractic adjustment.
- If your pet could benefit from the soothing and clinically proven treatment of laser therapy, we may recommend they come in for regular sessions.
- Acupuncture therapy may help your pet by regulating your pet’s hormones.
All our alternative treatment options are used in combination with western treatment options to give your pet the most “whole” care possible. Please call us at (715) 693-4560 with any question about our holistic services and how they can help your pet. We look forward to hearing from you.
